Rima Pipoyan is a pioneering Armenian choreographer, director, dancer, and educator, blending modern ballet, contemporary movement, martial arts, and cultural gesture. Founder of RP dance company, Choreogarphy foundation, and Modern Dance Educational system, she has brought Armenian contemporary dance to international stages, acclaimed for her bold, poetic, and transformative artistic voice.

So you think you can dance


Within the framework of the popular TV project So You Think You Can Dance, Pipoyan combined her role as a mentor, jury member, and choreographer, introducing innovative approaches to contemporary dance on screen. The short choreographic works she created—over 30 in total—were noted for their originality, theatricality, and emotional impact. This platform not only showcased her versatility but also played a key role in shaping the perception and development of contemporary dance in Armenia, while solidifying her name among the leading figures of the country’s modern choreography
